What’s the Burt Block Party and when does it take place?

The Burt Block Party is one of the best outdoor concert experiences in downtown Winnipeg, taking place right outside the historic Burton Cummings Theatre. Every summer, the area between Smith Street and Notre Dame Avenue transforms into a lively festival ground, filled with live music, food trucks, and licensed bars.

One of the best parts? You can bring your own lawn chair and kick back while enjoying an incredible lineup of artists. In 2024, the event ran from August 22 to 25, featuring huge acts like Blue Rodeo, Arkells, Headstones, and Tom Cochrane. Each night, up to 4,000 fans packed the streets, and weekend passes made it easy to catch multiple shows.
