Cashless Transactions
To reduce touchpoints and provide an expedited payment experience, all food and beverage transactions are cashless.
Guests are encouraged to use contactless payment for all event merchandise transactions.
1. What type of accessibility does the theatre offer?
The Burton Cummings Theatre is wheelchair accessible on the main floor only. All balcony seats are accessible by stairs only (no elevator) with 35 steps to the first balcony, 65 to the second balcony. Wheelchair seating is available in Loges 1 & 2. To arrange for wheelchair seating, please call Ticketmaster at 1-855-985-5000. Assistive Hearing Devices are not currently available at Burton Cummings Theatre.
2. Where can I purchase / inquire about tickets?
All commercial events held at the Burton Cummings Theatre have tickets sold through Ticketmaster Canada online at www.ticketmaster.ca.
Ticketing for events at the Burton Cummings Theatre is provided through mobile delivery or will call pickup only*. Print-at-home tickets are no longer accepted for any concerts or events. Mobile ticketing provides a safe and convenient way to access Burton Cummings Theatre events as well as to distribute your seats to friends and family.
Mobile delivery of tickets is easy and safe. Purchase your event tickets online from ticketmaster.ca and your mobile phone becomes your ticket for admission. For a quick and seamless entry into Burton Cummings Theatre, please be sure to load your mobile tickets to your phone’s wallet before arriving to the venue. Mobile tickets offer the convenience of managing, and transferring your tickets from anywhere using your mobile device. Simply log in to your Ticketmaster account and follow the instructions to transfer your mobile tickets.
Mobile tickets also offer more protection to guests, eliminating counterfeit or stolen tickets and also reducing the risk of lost or forgotten tickets.
Those without a cellphone can purchase their tickets online and present to the Burton Cummings Theatre Box Office on the day of the show to have tickets printed.
The Burton Cummings Theatre Box Office is open one hour prior to event start time. Ticket purchase and will call/ticket pickup is available at the Box Office. If picking up tickets, please arrive early and have both the credit card used to purchase your event tickets and a valid piece of photo ID. Only the credit card owner may pick up the tickets. For most events, children two years and older must have a ticket in order to gain entrance to Burton Cummings Theatre. Children under two years of age may enter without a ticket but must sit on the lap of an accompanying adult. For some events, individual shows/performers will determine the mandatory ticket age so it’s best to check with Ticketmaster in advance of purchasing.
*Some exceptions may apply.
3. My tickets for an upcoming show are GA. What does this mean?
GA stands for “general admission”. This means that seating is not assigned/reserved and in some cases indicates standing room only (i.e., no seats). For some shows, multiple rows of seats on the floor may be removed, creating a standing area in front of the stage that can be accessed by guests with GA floor tickets. Any remaining seats on the floor are not reserved or assigned but may be used by GA floor guests subject to availability.
4. Are there any items I can’t bring into the theatre?
The venue reserves the right to conduct a search of all guests in order to gain entry to the Burton Cummings Theatre. The following items are NOT permitted into the venue:
- Cameras (some show policies may vary)
- Professional cameras (some show policies may vary)
- Audio or recording devices
- Glass bottles or cans
- Cannabis products
- Alcoholic beverages
- Electronic cigarettes/chewing tobacco
- Any item that may be used as a weapon (including pocket knives)
- Laser pointers/flashlights
- Fireworks
- Backpacks or oversized bags larger than 16” x 16” x 8”
- Glow sticks
- Inflatables (beach balls, balloons, etc.)
- Projectiles
- Signs or banners
- Selfie sticks
Please follow guidelines to prevent being ejected from the venue. Guests who are ejected will not be allowed to re-enter.
5. Can I bring a bag or purse to the theatre?
Guests are encouraged to leave non-essential items at home and travel lightly when attending events at the Burton Cummings Theatre.
- The maximum size of purse/bag allowed is 16” x 16” x 8”
Purses/clutches with minimal pockets/compartments, fanny packs, small knapsacks, small drawstring bags or clear totes are preferred in order to help expedite entry into the Burton Cummings Theatre.
Oversize bags, backpacks and briefcases are prohibited in the seating area.
Guests with bags that exceed the size restrictions above will be asked to return their bags to their vehicle or to utilize coat check ($5 cash-only fee) which is located on the lower level near the men’s restroom. All bags left at coat check will be subject to a thorough search.
Certain exceptions will be made for medical reasons and in other special circumstances, as warranted and all oversized bags will be subject to a thorough search. For more information on True North’s Bag Policy, please contact Guest Services at info@tnse.com.
While this is the policy of True North Sports + Entertainment and its venues, individual tours and events may have more restrictive policies that True North will be required to enforce for certain shows and events at the Burton Cummings Theatre. These restrictions will be communicated to ticket-holding guests via email prior to the event.
6. What are the rules regarding cameras at events?
Professional cameras are prohibited at all Burton Cummings Theatre events, unless accompanied by appropriate facility media credentials. Video cameras and audio recorders are also prohibited unless specifically approved.
The Burton Cummings Theatre is not able to store prohibited items during the show, so all banned items will need to be taken back to vehicles or stored off-site.
Still (non-professional), point-and-shoot cameras are allowed for certain events (the use of flash is prohibited). Still cameras should not have detachable lenses, and should fit into a standard shirt pocket.
7. Are there food & beverage concessions at events?
Food & beverage options are available at the main floor concession stand and a selection of concession stands throughout the venue*. Food & beverage options may vary per event, and locations of concessions may change depending on the show.

8. Are group tickets available for purchase?

9. Who do I contact if I lost an item at the theatre?
Following an event, Lost and Found items will be transferred over to our sister-facility, Canada Life Centre. You can check on the status of lost items by filling out the form HERE, email info@tnse.com or call 204-926-5899. After 14 days, any unclaimed items will be forwarded to a local charity.
10. Where can I park if I’m attending an event at the theatre?
There are a number of parking lots within walking distance of the Burton Cummings Theatre, in Downtown Winnipeg / Exchange District. The closest lots are located beside and directly across from the venue. Numerous metered street parking spots are also available on nearby streets and parking lots. Parking fees vary.
11. Can the theatre be booked for private events?

12. Are Private Suites available for events?
Private loge seating may be available for events at Burton Cummings Theatre. Ticket prices will vary for each event. For more information, please call: 204-987-7825.
13. Can electronic cigarettes be used in the theatre?
The Burton Cummings Theatre is a smoke-free building. This includes electronic cigarettes and chewing tobacco. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all areas inside the theatre. Smoking is permitted outside in the patio area only.
14. Are there mobile device chargers available at events?
ChargeFuze Canada provides mobile charging throughout the Burton Cummings Theatre where users can rent a portable power bank to take back to their seats and charge their mobile device while enjoying the event. A charging station is available in the main lobby next to the concessions stand.
