DZIDZIO is coming to Canada with his full band, and Winnipeg is on the list.

Few performers occupy the place in Ukrainian popular culture that DZIDZIO does. Singer, actor and comedian, he built a following on songs that are impossible not to sing along to and a stage presence that treats a concert as a party rather than a recital. His shows fill halls across Ukraine and have followed the Ukrainian diaspora around the world.
This is not a stripped-back touring set. DZIDZIO is bringing the full band — the arrangements as they are meant to be heard, loud and complete.
He is joined by special guest Vasyl Popadiuk, the Ukrainian-born, Canadian-based violinist whose playing moves between classical virtuosity, Ukrainian folk and gypsy jazz, often within the same piece. On his own he is a headline act; on this bill he is the perfect opening.
For Winnipeg’s Ukrainian community — one of the oldest and largest in Canada — this is a rare chance to hear a genuine star of the contemporary scene at home. For everyone else, it is one of the most entertaining live shows you will see this year.
All ages welcome. Tickets on sale Wednesday, August 19 at 10am.
