FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where do I enter the event?

 Entry for those that already have tickets is available through the Main Gate at the corner of Ellice Avenue and Notre Dame Avenue.  If your ticket has a barcode, you may also enter at Gate 2 on Notre Dame Avenue.

If you do not yet have tickets, you are encouraged to purchase in advance through Ticketmaster.  Subject to availability, tickets may be available to purchase at the Box Office located at the Main Gate.

VIP and Private Viewing Tent patrons need to check in at the VIP tent/table located just inside the Main Gate.

Where can I get assistance with my tickets?

 The Box Office, which is located at the Main Gate at Ellice Avenue and Notre Dame Avenue.  It will open at 4:45 p.m. daily. If you require assistance in advance, email info@tnse.com .

How should I get there and where can I find parking?

 There are a variety of transportation and parking options in the downtown area.  We recommend visiting the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ “Getting Around” web page located HERE for more information.

Will there be an area to secure my bike?

A free bike parking area will be located inside the main gate at the corner of Ellice Avenue and Notre Dame Avenue. Bike racks will be provided – please bring your own lock.

What methods of payment can I use?

 The Burton Cummings Theatre and Burt Block Party are cashless for food and beverage.  Contactless payment preferred for merchandise purchases.

What seating is available?

This is a general admission event. Seating options such as picnic tables and stand-up bar tables will be available on a first come first served basis.  Patrons may bring their own lawn chairs.  The Johnston Group VIP Viewing deck will offer some seating, again on a first come first served basis.

What is available for food and beverage?

Local food trucks, light concession snacks, non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks will be available. Please remember that all food and beverage sales are cashless.  Outside food and beverage is not permitted.

Will there be concert merchandise available?

 Artist merchandise will be available. There is a limited selection so please come early!

What happens in the case of bad weather?

 These events take place rain or shine.  We encourage everyone to dress for the weather.

What items should I bring and what items should I leave at home?

Bring:

  • Government issued photo identification
  • A charged up phone – If you need a charge on site rentals are available inside the theatre
  • Credit or debit card – Burt Block Parties are cashless events.
  • Bags no larger than 16” x 16” x 8”. (Bags larger than this will need to be returned to a vehicle or other location.) All bags are subject to search.
  • Empty, refillable water bottles. A water fountain will be available inside the theatre.
  • Sunglasses and sunscreen
  • Dress for the weather! Bring a rain jacket, sweater, etc. to be prepared for all types of weather
  • Umbrellas are permitted on site but cannot be used during the performances.

Leave At Home:

  • Backpacks or oversized bags larger than 16” x 16” x 8”.
  • Outside food and beverage.
  • Professional cameras (cameras with a detachable lens) are prohibited unless accompanied by appropriate media credentials. Video cameras and audio recorders are also prohibited unless specifically approved.
  • Coolers, tarps or blankets
  • Pets (service animals only)
  • Knives or other weapons
  • Glass bottles or cans
  • Cannabis products
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Laser pointers/flashlights
  • Fireworks
  • Glow sticks
  • Inflatables (beach balls, balloons, etc.)
  • Projectiles
  • Signs or banners
  • Selfie sticks
  • Any object deemed to potentially pose a risk to guests, employees, or the artists, at the discretion of True North.

The Burton Cummings Theatre is not able to store prohibited items during the show, so all banned items will need to be taken back to vehicles or stored off-site.

What washroom facilities will be available?

Porta-potties are available outdoors and restrooms located inside the Burton Cummings Theatre will also be available.

Can I leave and re-enter the event?

 Re-entry is not permitted.  Please make sure you have everything you need prior to entry

Is the event wheelchair accessible?

 Yes. Please speak to one of our team members on site for additional assistance.

After the event, are there safe walks available?

We encourage our guests to download the Downtown Community Safety Partnership App for Safe Walk service and other safety tips. Please visit their website.
