Memories will abound on December 19th at the Burton Cummings Theatre, as Winnipeg’s own Fred Penner steps onto the stage to delight his legion of Fred Heads…and their children. Tickets are available on Friday, October 16 at 10:00 am through Ticketmaster.
It’s been a vibrant year of concerts and festivals for Fred, all supported by a 2015 Juno Award for Children’s Recording of the Year; the album also won a Western Canadian Music Award for the same category.
Fresh off hosting the Polaris Prize gala in Toronto, Fred will wind up 2015 with an action packed concert in his hometown of Winnipeg for all his fans, young & old.
His performance will be backed by the The Cat’s Meow Band, led by Paul O’Neill, and will feature guest appearances by Fred’s daughter, LA based indie/pop sensation W.Darling and a rollicking reconnection with the one and only Al Simmons.
Music and Merriment at its best!
